2024 Power Of Produce (PoP)

In 2022 and 2023, the Del Ray Farmers Market delighted visitors with the engaging “Power of Produce” (POP) Club, designed to captivate families with children aged 4-12. Each week the POP Club ran, young market-goers aged 4 to 12 were given a $5 voucher that they could use at the market to purchase delicious, fresh fruits, and vegetables.

What will be fresh in 2024 is our exciting plan to bring in Del Ray restaurant chefs to the market. They'll host cooking demonstrations centered on the seasonal fruits and veggies you can find right here. This idea not only showcases delicious dishes but also forms stronger connections between the market and our lovely local businesses. Imagine the chefs personally introducing their restaurants to the residents of Del Ray!

In 2024, the POP Club will be available on the second Saturday of every month from April through September during market hours. Check out the schedule of participating restaurants listed below!

August 10 – Pork Barrel BBQ: Featuring Shlagel Farms’ famous smoked corn on the cob.
